Norman Chisale persecuted by “Tonse Alliance” now asked to Stand as an MP for his area

Maravi Post Has seen reporting, Ntcheu Central East Constituents has petitioned Good Samaritan Norman Chisale to stand as MP for the area in 2025.

Some communities of newly demarcated Ntcheu Central East Constituency have petitioned Good Samaritan Norman Chisale, private bodyguard of former President, Peter Mutharika to stand as legislator for the area in the 2025 general elections.

Leader for the concerned communities, Godfully Mandexy argues that Chisale has good morals and if elected as their parliamentary representative, peoples’ livelihoods will be transformed in the area.

Meanwhile, the communities have today petitioned Chisale at his home village, Thumbi, Traditional Authority (TA) Champiti on the issue by giving him seven days to respond to the request.

But when contacted by Zodiak Online, Chisale ruled out the possibility of joining active politics saying he is currently concentrating on religious charity works in the area.

Chisale out of bail

This is the same man , anti-corruption prosecutors in Malawi obtained a court order allowing them to seize property belonging to him  who led the security detail for former president Peter Mutharika while he was in office. Included in the court order was an itemized list of assets belonging to Chisale and his close associates, including his wife and daughter. It is a long list.

It included 78 vehicles, most of them high-end, including Range Rovers, Land Cruisers, Mercedes Benzes, BMW X5s, Jeep Wranglers and a Hummer; at least two bank accounts registered in his name, containing 30-million kwacha (about $38 500) and 87-million kwacha (about $111 500) respectively; and 12 properties in Malawi, including lodges, residences, and commercial office complexes. According to a source close to the investigation, two properties in Russia, three properties in South Africa and a mall in Zambia are also linked to Chisale.

In total, the value of Chisale’s fortune amounts to at least 1.7-billion kwacha (about $2.2 million). Not bad for a bodyguard. Especially one who earned a monthly salary of 1.2-million kwacha (about $1 500) a month after tax while working for the president.

Even factoring in per diems and allowances, which could have raised Chisale’s monthly income to 6.2-million kwacha (about $8 000), it would have taken him 274 years to earn his current wealth. Chisale, aged 45, has not been around quite that long — so how did he do it?

It seems everything the “Tonse Alliance” touches ends in disaster. Long lives Norman Chisale. it appears your detractors have failed once again
