President Mutharika to open JTI Factory and new Warehouse at Kanengo in Lilongwe

State House wishes to inform the public that the State President, His Excellency Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika, will on Thursday, 11th December, 2014 open JTI Malawi factory and new warehouse at Kanengo in Lilongwe.

JTI, which is a tobacco processing company, has refurbished their Kanengo factory and constructed a new ultramodern two-storey warehouse. JTI Malawi factory also recycles waste at their new factory.

During the opening ceremony, JTI Malawi factory is expected to donate tobacco dust pellets — which can be used as manure — to the First Lady Gertrude Mutharika’s Beautify Malawi Trust.

The President is expected to arrive at the JTI Malawi Factory and warehouse premises at 9 am.
