Renown Kenyan professor Lumumba dates Malawi President Chakwera

NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-The Kenyan Law Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba has disclosed his intentions to meet Malawi President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera following his touching speech on Monday when paying homage to the late president of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli.

The Pan African activists disclosed the news in an interview that Maravi post has seen making rounds on social media.

Chakwera was among the 10 African presidents that joined Tanzanians at Jamhuri Stadium to pay their last honour to their loved President.

In his stupendous speech, Malawi’s President who described late Magufuli as an Icon and a hero of African Continent, said Magufuli’s fearless fight against corruption changed Tanzania to what the country is now.

He added that Magufuli has left a great lesson to everyone who thought African States could not be reliable on their income and he was privileged to learn his transformative ways of change that will forever be remembered.

According to the law professor, Chakwera’s speech was one of the most power and touching eulogy of all time that history must record.

Lumumba added that Chakwera’s speech touched something that every other speech did not touch as it came from his heart. He also said his meeting with president Chakwera is for him to request him to be in forefront of the leadership of new Africa.

The staunch Pan-Africanist said he has sent his request to meet the president through Malawian embassy in Kenya and it is expected to reach the president next week.

Lumumba has served as the director of the Kenyan Anti-Corruption Commission from September 2010 to August 2011, and also as a director of the Kenya School of Laws since 2014.

He is also the founding trustee of the African Institute for Leaders and Leadership.
