BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Super League of Malawi (SULOM), on behalf of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), has announced that the FDH Bank Premiership Week 6 fixtures will proceed as scheduled following the postponement of the 2026 COSAFA Senior Men’s Championship.

In a statement released on Thursday, SULOM informed clubs, supporters, partners and the general public that the COSAFA Men’s Tournament, which was initially slated for 27 May to 7 June 2026, has been postponed.

Following the development, Week 6 matches of the FDH Bank Premiership will now be played on the weekend of 30 and 31 May 2026.

The league had earlier been expected to resume on 20 June 2026 after the planned COSAFA break.

SULOM, however, clarified that despite the adjustment in dates, the current structure, sequence and flow of the FDH Bank Premiership fixtures remain unchanged.

The league governing body has also reminded clubs and stakeholders about the upcoming FIFA International Window scheduled to run from 1 to 9 June 2026.

“Clubs are therefore encouraged to take this into account in their planning, squad management, and player welfare considerations during the international break,” reads part of the statement.

SULOM further expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation and support from all stakeholders as the league continues.
