Tabitha Chawinga Makes History as First Malawian to be Nominated for Ballon d’Or

In a groundbreaking achievement, Malawi’s women’s football icon Tabitha Chawinga has been nominated for the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

The 28-year-old Lyon forward becomes the first Malawian to achieve this feat, cementing her status as one of the world’s top female footballers.

Chawinga’s nomination is a testament to her hard work and dedication to the sport.

She has consistently impressed on the pitch, leading her team to numerous victories and earning individual accolades along the way.

She has also been named to the UEFA Women’s Champions League Squad of the Season and has won individual awards like the African Women’s Footballer of the Year.
