Martha Chizuma failed the job at Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) before office, why? Public Appointment Committee (PAC) of Malawi Parliament rejected her as she proved to be not fit for the job.
Some unreasonable and failed Civil Society Organization (CSOs) gagged duly structure PAC as to why Chizuma was rejected.
Without giving themselves (CSOs) time to assess why PAC say no to Martha Chizuma, threatened Parliament until she was forced to be the helm of ACB. That’s where the matter started.
PAC did not reject Chizuma because of being a woman, no, but she lacked skills and ability to handle ACB office.
She might have performed well at office of Ombudsman that could not be a lee way for Chizuma to be good as well at ACB. These are different offices.
Chizuma personalized ACB office that she can not follow office etiquette instead conniving with social media friends to seek public sympathy.
Chizuma incompetency was proved when phone audio leaked to public that angered President Lazarus Chakwera warning her to completely cut ties with social media friends.
Instead, Chizuma continued to talk with them while injuring further ACB office. Now, she needs to correct the mistake committed on that leaked audio.
Out of the people connected to what Martha Chizuma said about corruption in the recorded phone conversation she had with an unknown person, Chakwera and Ashok have reacted.
They both agree that what Martha Chizuma did was illegal. Chakwera constructively fired her at a political podium .
Ashok has taken her to court for defamation. Now, honestly, I don’t care who one is, you have to have some wires loose in the head to despise Ashok and clap hand or show indifference to Chakwera. You are either just a racist or a kokoliko.
Any person that is concerned about corruption, the fraud list in particular would love to see the issue transferred from the political or executive hands to the courts.
This is an opportunity to delve deeper into what was discussed in the phone conversation away from what Chakwera said in his speech about Martha.
The other thing that I am seeing from us Malawians is racism element against against Asian business persons. There’s a certain type of elites that are leading the masses into prejudice and hate against Asians of Malawian origin. It is crass, it has to stop.
And why should the public standing with someone incompetency because she is a woman? That’s very wrong approach.
The office of ACB must have someone that can be trusted and vested with integrity.
The best way for Martha to do is resignation not seeking sympathy from failed CSOs, social media friends.
