Lilongwe, June 19, 2015: Zambia ‘s High Commissioner to Malawi Salome Mwananshiku has urged business houses in Malawi to participate in the 51st Zambia International Trade Fair scheduled for July this year, 2015.
High commissioner Mwananshiku says the trade fair is a great platform that Zambia and Malawian exhibitors can use to showcase their products and services and create partnership with other business entities in the Southern African Region and beyond.
She said the Zambia International Trade fair has over the years continued to contribute to the consolidation of the economic ties with southern African region and indeed the rest of the world.
The industrial, commercial and agricultural exhibition, themed Prosperity through Business Reforms and Linkages, will run from 1 to 7 July, 2015 in Ndola, on the Copperbelt Province of Zambia.
“As Africa and particularly the Southern African block aspires for greater regional integration, there is needed to take advantage of such platforms to market the various services and products that our countries have to offer.
Such events provide an opportunity for joint venture partnerships apart from helping to attract direct investment and establish local contacts,” said the high commissioner Mwananshiku.
The fair is open to manufactures, agents, merchants, representatives, service organisations, financial institutions, transporters, caterers and government sectors.
