LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In a course of revamping nation workforce, President Lazarus Chakwera summoned all government Principal Secretaries (PSs) and urged them to discipline civil servants .
Addressing PSs Kamuzu Palace in an interface meeting on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 Chakwera asked them to be tough, honest, brave and united in installing the discipline and professionalism that has been missing in the civil service for the past 20 years.
To show his office commitment, President Chakwera says will be coordinating monthly meetings and quarterly appraisals on the PS to ensure speedy progress and high performance in the delivery of services to Malawians.
He said the monthly meetings will create a collaboration between his office and the controlling officers which will help in the fixing the broken system.
Chakwera said the meetings will help him to know wat is really broken in the civil service and he can be able to fix it.
He has asked them to strive for excellent civil service that is good for his people.
