MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-The former Tonse Alliance government partner UTM party says President Lazarus Chakwera is not fit for the second term in office due to lies he has been feeding to Malawians
UTM vice-president for the Northern Region Catherine Mzumara told the maga rally at Katoto Secondary School in Mzuzu that Chakwera is a liar and a failure for failing to honour various promises that he made.
To justify her claims, an audio was played where Chakwera is heard promising various development projects for the North.
Some of the projects Chakwera pledged to execute include the of M’mbelwa University and Orton Chirwa International Airport.
“Chakwera does not fit to lead us anymore,” she said.
During the rally which meant to present Dr Dalitso Kabambe as UTM leader to the people in the northern, the party’s key figures including Patricia Kaliati, Felix Njawala and others told the gathering to give UTM to govern for better beyond September 16.
