LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Regardless of the late Veep Saulos Chilima’s family witnessing the postmortem, the family have demanded Chakwera and his tonse government to dig deeper on the cause of the plane crash that killed Chilima and eight others.
Addressing the funeral gathering at Bingu National stadium, representative of the family, Chilima’s elder brother Ben Chilima said their is need to investigate the main cause of the plane crash to protect many others in the near future.
Ben Chilima said the family appreciate the initiative that government made on the postmortem of the bodies but they are looking for more initiative to clear several doubts.
“We would like to see more on the investigation,as a family we witnessed the postmortem but we believe that government will do more,” said Chilima.
Concurring with Ben Chilima, Former Minister of Justice, Chikosa Silungwe said the relevant public officers must provide answers on the cause of the tragedy.
“Every public officer is entrusted by citizen and it is the constitution duty for the duty bearers to accountable to the tragedy cause,”said Silungwe.
On his heartfelt words, Sean Chilima, son to the late Malawi Veep said his father was a great man and he inspire him alot .
Sean said his father gave him and his sister good morals and a listening heart.
He believed that his Dad is happy where ever he is as he has left a legacy to many and applaud him for being a family man and a good father.
“Been following what people being saying in about my father am impressed that every learned something good and are able to share it even in his demise,”said Sean.
