FAM releases Cosafa, Afcon squad for camp

Football Association of Malawi has released a list of 28 local players to start preparations for the Cosafa Senior Challenge Cup in South Africa next month and Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Zimbabwe in June.

A press release, signed by FAM General Secretary Suzgo, indicated that the players would undergo an assessment by coach Young Chimodzi and his assistant Jack Chamangwana whether to be considered or not for the final squad.

 

Details regarding the camping on the two vital assignments would be released later according to Nyirenda.

The squad comprises goalkeepers; McDonald Harawa, Richard Chipuwa, Bright Munthali, defenders Francis Mlimbika, John Lanjesi, Yamikani Fodya, Stanley Sanudi, Lucky Malata, Enock Likoswe, Bashir Maunde, Nashoni Harazi.

Midfielders; Ernest Tambe, Emmanuel Chipeta, Victor Limbani, Fischer Kondowe, Dalitso Sailesi, Isaack Kaliati, Ndaziona Chatsalira, Micium Mhone, Remedy Munthali, Chikoti Chirwa.

Strikers; Peter Wadabwa, Muhammad Sulumba, Lotti Kamanga, Amos Khamula, Jabulani Linje, Tizgobere Kumwenda.
Last month FAM included foreign based players including Joseph Kamwendo, Chimango Kayira, Frank Banda, Esau Kanyenda, Harry Nyirenda, Limbikani Mzava, Gerald Phiri Jr.
