Montpellier HSC midfielder Sambia hospitalized on having Covid-19 symptoms

PARIS-(MaraviPost)- Following the statement from Montpellier HSC team management confirms that the 23-year-old midfielder, Solomon Junior Sambia has been admitted to hospital after having respiratory and digestive problems suspected to linked to the coronavirus symptoms.

Sambia who comes from the Central African Republic was admitted on Monday, April 21 after showing symptoms similar to Covid-19.

As his situation worsened and was taken to intensive care on Thursday, April 23.

Part of the statement reads: “Following digestive and respiratory problems, one of our players has been hospitalized in Montpellier for two days in a specialized environment to benefit from appropriate care,”.

According to the management they said if Sambia’s condition has been confirmed positive, he will be the first player in ‘Ligue 1’ to have tested positive.

Sambia has played 22 times in all competitions for La Paillade this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Currently, France has recorded more than 120, 000 cases of Covid-19 with more than 20, 000 deaths and 42, 000 recoveries.
