LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawians on social media are asking whether President Lazarus Chakwera has restored his deputy Saulos Chilima’s delegated duties regarding to numerous tours the latter has embarked recently.
In response, UTM Spokesperson Felix Njawala says the party does not have any communication on whether delegated duties have been restored to it’s President Chilima.
Njawala added that the party is just monitoring the situation where Chilima is seen conducting state duties, months after President Chakwera announced that he stripped off the delegated duties from his Vice President almost a year ago.
Chakwera made his decision on Chilima for the letters alleged involvement in corrupt activities.
Chilima is currently in court.
