Kenyan man brutally killed after being suspected of having coronavirus

KWALE COUNTY-(MaraviPost)-A man in Kibundani village,Kwale County has been killed in after being confronted by a mob which suspected him of suffering from Coronavirus.

Kwale County Police Commandant, Joseph Nthenge confirmed the incident.

According to Daily Nation, the man who was identified as George Kotini Hezron was heading home on Tuesday around 9 pm from a drinking spree when a group of youths took advantage of his drunkenness by beating him and leaving him for dead.

The victim was left badly injured until well wishers rushed him to Msambweni County Referral Hospital where he died while receiving treatment at after sustaining serious injuries.

Meanwhile, no arrests have been made and police have launched investigations into the matter.

Kenyans have been advised not to cause unnecessary panic and not to take the law into their own hands.
