
NAIROBI-(MaraviPost)-A middle-aged man in Ol Kalou town, Nyandarua County has gone on a hunger strike and while wearing sack cloths following the mandatory 14 days quarantine of his wife, Jane Njeri at the Nyandarua High School.
The man who was identified as Joseph Mathenge revealed that the mother of two who is a retail trader at the Ol Kalou fresh produce market had travelled to purchase foodstuff for sale.
“She came back yesterday and was summoned to the Ol Kalou Police Station and I accompanied her. She was locked in and I was told that they were waiting for a team to come and test her,” said Mathenge.
She was later be sent to the quarantine facility where she is expected to stay for the next 14 days.
Report by Citizen Digital revealed that Mr. Mathenge’s efforts to seek an audience with the Nyandarua County Police Commander had all proved futile and he has vowed to continue with the protest for days until his wife is released.
