LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In a quest to bring justice in the country, Chief Justice Rizine Mzikamanda, has given 90 days Ultimatum to judges in the country to finalize all the outstanding cases.
Seating in for controlling officer of Judicially, Acting Register, Kondwani Banda, disclosed this on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 before Public Accounts Committee (PAC) after being summoned to answer audit queries.
Banda said the country’s courts are seating on numerous cases that must be handled with top priority that the judges have not pass the judgement on yet.

He said delays in cases has resulted in the dawdling of several works in the country.
Concurring with Banda, Chairperson for the Committee, Shadrek Namalomba welcomed chief justice’s idea saying it will contribute to the progress of the country.
Namalomba added that some cases in the courts are making some departments idle due to the prolonged judgement.
He urged the judicially to list names of judges and their cases for the sake of transparency as there are many cases that are supposed to be monitored within the said days.
He then called upon the judicially to be exemplary by managing their work effectively as they appear before the Committee due to file misrepresentation.
