Malawi FA impressed with CR beach soccer league resumption

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Football Association of Malawi (FAM) is impressed with Central Region Beach Soccer league it’s first week resumption.

The 2021 season which has delayed to reach its completion due to dry coffers resumed after FAM funded the Beach Soccer Committee and the league is expected to be completed this coming weekend.

Frank Chisambula, General Secretary in the Central Region, said the committee patronized weekend games after a long period of stoppage.

He said teams showed full commitment except Blue Eagles FC who gave an excuse as were busy with SARPICCO games preparations.

“It was very entertaining people missed the game,we had a very beautiful weekend as turn up of the spectators was overwhelming.

“The future is bright as resources are available to complete the last season league at the same time kick start the new season of 2022. National Committee has assured us about the funding”, Chisambula added.

Munali FC have maintained the top spot with 23 points from 10 games. FC Malawi are tied on 18 points with FC Tourism occupying positions 2 and 3 on better goal difference.

Livingstonia have 16 points on number 4 from 11 games.

On number 5 are SEN’s Academy with 15 points from 10 games,Blue Eagles FC are on position 6 with 5 points from 6 games anchoring the table are Lake Side who have played 11 games they have 3 points.

Some results of games played on Saturday and Sunday in week 5 of the second round.

All games took place at Livingstonia Beach. Munali defeated Livingstonia by 11-3,Lake Side 0-2 Malawi,Tourism 5-4 FC Malawi,SEN’s 6-4 Munali.

On Sunday April 24, 2022 FC Malawi defeated Livingstonia 4-1 and games results including Tourism FC 2-0 Lake Side, FC Malawi 4-6 Munali FC and Livingstonia 4-2 SEN’s Academy.
