Malawi’s amulet Charles Petro inspires Sheriff FC to 4-1 victory

Former Nyasa Big Bullets defender Charles Petro scored his first league goal to inspire his Moldovan Club, Sheriff FC, to a 4-1 win against their archrivals Petrocuba in the National first division league on Wednesday.

The Flames international defender scored the fourth goal at the 64th minute after Gabrijel Boban’s double in the 27th and 42nd minute and Frank Casteneda’s in the 60th minute.

It is his first goal since he joined the club early this year.

The win cements his side’s lead in the league, as they opened a five-point gap at 24 points against Petrocuba.

Sheriff FC have maintained their unbeaten record from the eight games that have been played so far in the league.

Petro is also a regular and trusted defender for the Malawi national football team.
