LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-As teams prepare for the new football season, the newly Super League promoted side Mafco FC from Chipiku Central Region League will be beefing up their squad as they prepare to rejoin the top League this season.
Head coach for the army side Stereo Gondwe has confirmed the development saying it is in their plans to recruit more players who can also help the club as they return to the top League.
Gondwe said it is always very important to bring new players who can also play together with those that are avialable for the purpose of standing the pressure together as a team.
“However, it is pleasing to note that all the players we have right now have the heart for the team that is why they really fought for our return to Super League.
“We have great confidence in them. And it’s our prayer that once we add some strength to the team, we will go back to Supper League to stay. May I also take this opportunity to congratulate my boys for the well done job during our one season stay in Chipiku,” he said
The coach says he knows how to strengthen his team and he will definitely do that but he precisely pointed out that he will keep all his squad to make sure that the guys continue with their fight they have started in a regional league.
Mafco FC was crowned champions of the Chipiku Central Region Football League with 103 points.
However, the team got relegated in 2018 and went back to the central region Chipiku League where they fought from the first to the last game to be promoted back to Supper League.
