LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The widow to the late Malawi Vice President Saulos Klaus Chilima, Mary has made clear demand from well-wishers helping her to have special commission of inquiry into Chikangawa Forest plane crash.
The widow Chilima is therefore asking Malawians to push for the inquiry which claimed eight lives including her husband on June 10, 2024 in Mzimba District.
The demand has been made when the widow visited the plane crash site on as she commemorates the wedding anniversary on September 29.
“29th September was our wedding anniversary. I’m urging all concerned people to help me in establishing special commission of inquiry on what happened between June 10 to 11 (Ndikupempha nonse okhudzidwa kuti mundithandize kumema kafukufuku wapadera, kuti timve tsatanetsatane wa zomwe zinachitika pa 10 mpakana pa 11 June)”, appeals widow Chilima.
The call also comes barely weeks after Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) endorsed the inquiry.
Well the enquiry will be made yes but it will be full of assumptions. This will start from your house. What was he putting on…on this particular day ? Was he in a necktie or a T-Shirt and jacket on top ? Some take off shoes when traveling and put them on …on arrival. On this 10th did u have any communication with him between 9 and 10:10 am ? Do u open your husband’s phone ? If yes was there any communication made after 10:16 am ? NOTE that this enquiry will be a 1 sided affair. We will not hear anything from the victims. Lets wait until a culprit comes out if there’s any that is.
