Missed opportunity! Peter Mutharika snubs DPP Manifesto launch

1 Min Read

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-In surprisingly and unusual political move to win voters trust, opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) on Sunday, August 3, 2025 launched its Manifesto without its leader and Presidential Aspirant Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM).

Instead DPP-Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) electoral alliance runningmate Jane Ansah alongside AFORD leader Enoch Chihana.

The development confirms Mutharika’s illness being spread in the social media.

The DPP leader was last seen on July 25, 2025 when he submitted presidential nomination papers for September 16 General elections.

Some quarters of the society accuses DPP gurus for pushing Mutharika into September 16 polls out of personal gains and interests once voted into power without considering its leader’s health conditions and old age.

Malawians are yet to witness how Mutharika will campaign across the country afternoon failing to show up for DPP Manifesto launch at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.
