Democratic Progressive Party DPP members of parliament had a caucus on Thursday evening at undisclosed location in Lilongwe where among other things drew a strategy to impeach the speaker of parliament Right Honorable Catherine Gotani Hara.
According to our source, all DPP MPs and some independents on the government side were available during the meeting.
Many DPP MPs are not impressed with how the speaker is conducting business in the house. They say she is too arrogant, partisan and incompetent.
The speaker is being accused of targeting MPs from the ruling side only when melting out punishments. She is also being accused of not being in control of the house unlike her predecessors.
