“Retaliate DPP/UDF’s intimidation, violence by voting them out”-Chilima

Chilima and Joyce Banda in Zomba for Tonse Alliance

ZOMBA-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Vice President and Tonse alliance runningmate in the forthcoming fresh presidential election Dr. Saulos Chilima on Saturday, June 6, 2020 urged supporters to be patient and not payback on what Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and United Democrat Front (UDF) intimidation during campaign.

Chilima instead told supporters to vote against them on the polling day.

Addressing a Tonse alliance campaign rally at Gymkhana ground in Zomba, the UTM leader assured Malawians that the alliance is the God’s making.

Malawians never retaliate the violence pounced by the DPP/UDF leaders but keep their anger and avenge on June 23, 2020 by voting for Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is representing Tonse Alliance.

Chilima expressed with the ugly scenes of political violence, voiced out many promises which have been gathered in the blueprint of the Tonse alliance.

The VP however reminded Malawians that Peter Mutharika is not a law abiding person referring to 2012 incident.

“Mutharika wanted to block Joyce Banda from ascending to the presidency after the death of president Bingu Wa Mutharika, 2014 when he used the judges to become the head of state, the same judges he’s castigating today for ruling against him in the presidential case.

“Mutharika is speaking even after Supreme and High courts’ judgement going against him. This is unaccepted”, says Chilima.

Chilima with boldness and passionate said even if it means dying, Tonse alliance leaders are ready to sacrifice their own lives for the sake of the nation.

Making her remarks, the former head of state Dr. Joyce Banda assured the gathering that Dr. Chakwera is not taking Chilima as his runningmate but his partner in taking Malawians to the promised Land.

Dr. Banda appealed Chakwera-Chilima leadership to consider buying the idle land/farms in Zomba and share it to the locals.

She also requested the coming government of Tonse to consider descent houses for the Malawi Defence Force and Malawi Police Service staff.

  1. Chilima is the one who has been causing violence with Chakwera since last year. His bodyguard shot innocent people. People now see him, Chakwera, UTM and MCP as violent
