Top Bible scholar Sean Kampondeni tears spiritual fraudster Prophet Bushiri into pieces

When the ringing endorsement for Bushiri’s ministry comes only from people he ministers to or from the foul and boastful mouth of a personal friend who is on trial for attempted murder with links to a disgraced corrupt regime, then either he is a heretic or the Scriptures mean nothing when they say that ministers “must have a good reputation with people outside so as not to fall into disgrace and into the Devil’s trap”.

When Bushiri ministers and brags that he has more powers than anyone on the face of the whole earth, then either he is a heretic or the Scriptures mean nothing when they say that ministers who “become conceited fall under the same judgment as the devil”.

When Bushiri uses sleight of hand on an ipad to create the illusion of photographing a living human being who is also supposedly in the spirit realm at the same time, then either he is a heretic or the Scriptures mean nothing when they say that true ministers “have renounced secret and shameful ways, do not use deception, nor distort the word of God”.

When Bushiri says that his ipad miracle can only be performed by him in the whole world without explaining how he’s done it, then either he is a heretic or the Scriptures mean nothing when they say that the works Jesus did as well as greater works than those Jesus did will be done by “WHOEVER BELIEVES”.

When Bushiri allows and even enjoys his congregants to give him credit and glory for what they perceive to be a miracle and bosses them around to do his bidding, then either he is a heretic or the Scriptures mean nothing when they say that “what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as YOUR servants for Jesus’ sake”.

When Bushiri encourages his followers to not question him, to not scrutinize his words or actions because he is a prophet, then either he is a heretic or the Scriptures mean nothing when they say that we must “test the spirits to see if they are from God, because MANY false prophets have gone out into the world”.

So as far as Jesus is concerned, “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God”.

Bushiri does not believe the gospel, nor does he act in line with it. His heresies are public, and since he already lives in rebellion to God by having no elders he is accountable to as the Scriptures command, he must be rebuked publicly. It is even possible that he has never heard the true gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ or ever experienced the grace of repentance. If so, I’d be more than happy to tell him the good news or point him to good ministers who can do do it even better than I. What we can’t afford is shield him from rebuke in the name of not wanting to judge him, for if we have the Spirit of God, the Scriptures say that “the person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things”.

So until Bushiri runs to Jesus, run away from his heresies. If you are already in his camp or have benefited from his help in the past, this is all very hard to hear, and your noble sense of loyalty and gratitude guarantees that your first and deepest instinct is to defend him, even against all evidence to the contrary.

This is not only hard, but scary because the alternative is unthinkable, namely that you have believed, befriended, supported, and promoted a false prophet all this time, which means you too were part of the creation of this empire of deception, which in turn means that you erred in judgment because you based your view of Bushiri on your five senses and experiences with him rather than on the teachings of Scripture and the discernment of all the Spirit-filled churches of Jesus. But if you swallow your pride and repent of this error, you will find that there is mercy for you before the throne of Jesus.
