MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-In a thrilling match in the TNM Super League, Isaac Msiska proved to be the hero for Mzuzu City Hammers as they secured a historic win over traditional rivals, Mighty Mukuru Wanderers.
The game started with a burst of energy from the Hammers, as Msiska found the net in the 19th minute, leaving the Wanderers stunned.
He then doubled the lead just before halftime in added time, sending the fans into a frenzy.
Despite Wanderers making strategic changes in the second half, including the introduction of Clement Nyondo, they struggled to break through the solid defense of the Hammers.
Nyondo came close with a powerful shot but was unable to find the back of the net.
Wanderers earned numerous corners but failed to convert them into goals.
Coach Swanzirumo Rhamadan’s animated presence on the sidelines couldn’t inspire his team to mount a successful comeback.
Even with players like Stanley Sanudi and Peter Cholopi creating chances, the Wanderers were unable to breach the Hammers’ defense.
