As it is now the battle for the championship dwells between the two teams, Nyasa Big Bullets FC and Blue Eagles FC, the defending Champion, the reds, have 56 points from 22 games as are 7 points up.
The battle for championship may be decided on Sunday as both Blue Eagles FC and Nyasa Big Bullets FC will be in action with tricky teams.
Bullets are in the Capital Lilongwe to play against the 2021 runners up Silver Strikers FC while the Cops will be up against the stubborn Ekwendeni Hammers FC in the Green City of Mzuzu.
If Bullets drops points over Silver Strikers FC and that Blue Eagles FC get a victory over Hammers.
But the battle will still rage on but if Eagles loses and Bullets wins the battle will end prematurely as the defending Champions will be leading with 10 points.
However, as the top four teams are not giving enough time to breath, the bottom 5 also has ignited pressure as relegation battle continues.
Sable Farming FC on Saturday defeated Karonga United 1-0,with a lone goal from Sherrif Maida as Red Lions FC suffered another 1-0 defeat to Moyale Barracks FC at home Balaka Stadium.
This means Sable have chances to survive the chop if they maintain their winning ways as have 21 points from 24 games on position 14 while Red Lions FC now are sniffing to the red line as they have 25 points from 26 games on position 13.
Of recent Red Lions FC have lost form dropping points both at home and away which will give energy to Sable who are at some point winning games.
Sable just need to win three of their 6 remaining games to survive the chop in the league as they will collect 30 points and beat Reds if they keep on performing badly.
Three teams Mighty Waka-Waka Tigers, Red Lions and Sable Farming FC have to treat their remaining games carefully to avoid the chop as the competition amongst the teams keeps growing day in and day out as the league approaches to the closure.
