BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Second Vice President, Abida Sidik Mia, has reverberated the party’s obvious landslide win during the forthcoming elections Septembter 16 General elections.
In her remarks during a development rally at Luchenza School ground in Thyolo District, Mia, who is also Minister of Water and Sanitation, said that with President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s unique developmental oriented leadership, MCP, is geared to win the elections with a larger chunk of votes.
She said that using the fathom of development projects, the MCP led government has spread in all the regions, including the Southern Region, Chakwera stands tall and robust to make it through with a landslide win.
Mia vehemently ruled out the fallacy of assuming that the Southern Region is the stronghold of the opposition, stressing that Chakwera has taken over the South by winning people’s hearts with his universal development agenda coupled with unifying leadership traits.
Through the microphone, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, who was the guest of honour, urged the people of Thyolo to rally behind President Dr Lazarus Chakwera, who has a strong political will to develop the district as he has already demonstrated through various tangible projects.
The podium field marshall, who is also Minister of Mining, urged registered voters to jealously opt for the MCP Candidate Bapu Khamisa to represent them in the august House so that the area should register complete developmental transformation.
Other notable MCP gurus during the rally were Brown Mpinganjira and Selby Chisanga.
