LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Silver Strikers Football Club scored at 59th minute in the second half through Zebron Kalima to cancel Dedza Dynamos lead who had scored at 39th minute in the first half through Clement Nyondo formerly of Karonga United with an assist from Promise Kamwendo to survive the rookies scare at their own backyard, Silver Stadium on Monday, April 18, 2022 in the TNM Super League fixtures of week six day 12.

The rookies dominated the play in the first half as they played entertaining football through Promise Kamwendo, Clement Nyondo,Charles Chipala,Mathews Salirana former Mzuni FC defender and Justice Chihoma.

Banker panic on their own backyard

While the host Silver wasted clear cut chances through Stain Davie and Chawanangwa Kaonga.

However at the recess,Silver stadium turned into a Judo arena as suspected Silver Strikers FC fans invaded the pitch to chase a Dynamo fan who had entered the field of play and removed a certain stuff at Silver Strikers FC goal manned by Charles Thom.

Dedza fan did this in reply to the suspected home fan who splashed liquid on visitors goal hence the spectators witnessed nasty scenes as Dedza Dynamos fan was being kicked and beaten.

This happened when the players were still at the dressing rooms.Stewards,Police officers and SULOM officials managed to contain the situation and later the play continued.

In the second half Silver Strikers FC displayed exciting game than Dedza who enjoyed in the first half, no wonder they got that equalizer.

Taonga Chimodzi,Zebron Kalima,Frank Banda,Stain Davie and Duncan Nyoni lit fire though they couldn’t get it right when shooting on the opponent’s goal.

Towards the end of the game Frank Banda had a powerful shot at Dedza’s goal but ended hitting side net.

Dan Dzinkambani, Dedza head coach, made several changes to bring back the lost life.

Limbani Phiri,Clement Nyondo were taken off for Lameck Gamphani and Ibrahim Sadik the changes yielded nothing as they continued sitting deep in their own half defending than attacking as they did in the first half.

Daniel Kabwe, Bankers coach, substituted Duncan Nyoni,Stain Davie,Hardy Ng’andu and Emmanuel Muyira for Frank Banda,Maxwell Paipi,Patrick Macheso and Taonga Chimodzi as they searched for a winning goal.

But it was not to be as Dedza defended well with their goal minder Donnex Mwakasinga saving dangerous balls until the last whistle.

It was confirmed that Silver Strikers FC equalled power with rookies Dedza Dynamos at their own backyard to continue with a bad start in the league as they have managed to collect 8 points from 5 games and currently sitting on position 8 while Dedza Dynamos continued with the good form sitting on position 7 with 8 points from same number of games.

Assistant Coach for the Bankers, McDonald Yobe, said his charges failed to convert their chances into goals hence got punished by Dedza.

He further said,they will make sure they rectify the problems and start doing better.

Yobe was happy with the performance of the substitutes they made.

Dzinkambani was happy with a point away described his charges as hard workers.He added it was a good game.

Silver’s next fixture is against in form area 30 based side Blue Eagles FC who are yet to test a defeat since the kick off of the season.
