BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost )-Bishop Elect of Mzuzu Diocese Yohane Nyirenda has expressed his commitment to promoting the Diocese’s development initiatives in key areas such as education, health, justice, and peace, while nurturing spiritual growth among the faithful.
Upon learning of his appointment, Bishop Nyirenda described his initial reaction as a mix of fear and joy.
“My vision is to work together with various stakeholders to advance the Diocese’s mission and activities,” he said.
Bishop Nyirenda’s appointment as Bishop of Mzuzu Diocese was announced by the Vatican on April 1, 2025.
He will succeed Bishop John Ryan, who retired upon request, and will be officially installed this Saturday in Mzuzu.
