BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-FCB Nyasa Big Bullets opened up a four-point lead at the summit of the TNM Super League following a commanding 3-0 victory over Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos on Saturday afternoon, September 27, 2025.

Bullets now sit on 43 points from 18 matches, ahead of their fierce rivals Mighty Wanderers, who are second with 39 points.

The match, played at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, saw Bullets dominate from start to finish. They opened the scoring in the 21st minute through Chikumbutso Salima, who converted brilliantly after receiving a well-placed pass from Mike Mkwate. The goal gave Bullets a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break.

In the second half, substitute Chawanangwa Gumbo, who replaced Mkwate, doubled the lead in the 51st minute after a fine assist from Salima.

Dedza’s troubles worsened in the 67th minute when their own defender, Kazachang David Habu, mistakenly turned Salima’s cross into his own net to make it 3-0 for the hosts.

Bullets assistant coach Gilbert Chirwa praised his players for their impressive performance, emphasizing their determination and teamwork.

“The boys showed great character and commitment today. This win is a result of their hard work and focus, and we are proud of how they executed our game plan,” Chirwa said after the match.

On the other hand, Dedza Dynamos head coach Alex Ngwira admitted that his side deserved the loss but cited the intense atmosphere created by Bullets supporters as a factor that unsettled his players.

“We accept the defeat. Our players lost concentration at crucial moments, partly because of the loud noise from the home fans. We will return to training and work on the weaknesses we saw today,” Ngwira explained.

Salima’s outstanding display earned him the Man of the Match award, having contributed directly to all three goals.
