BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwer la on Thursday, September 11, 202t officially inaugurated the new state of art, Thyolo District Council Office Complex in Thyolo District.
The MK7.9 billion investment comprises a four-story building designed to house various government services, including the Immigration Department’s offices for passport issuance.
Accompanied by First Lady Madam Monica Chakwera, the Malawi was welcomed by several government officials before proceeding to a briefing, symbolic ribbon cutting and unveiling of a plaque signifying the official opening of the facility, as well taking a tour of the building.
Construction work, carried out by China Civils Construction Company, was funded by the Malawi Government, reflecting a commitment to improving public infrastructure and services in all parts of the country.
This project is expected to facilitate better governance and service delivery.
