DPP’s expelled Kondwani Nankhumwa confirms 2025 presidential bid

By Twink Jones Gadama

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-In a defiant move that showcased unwavering determination, Kondwani Nankhumwa, despite being expelled from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), boldly declared his aspirations to become the President of Malawi.

Addressing a crowd of fervent supporters in Ndirande, Nankhumwa assured them that his face would grace the ballot paper next year as a presidential candidate.

Promising a speech that would rock the world, he attributed his dismissal from the DPP to his expressed interest in competing at the party’s convention.

Nankhumwa, a prominent figure in Malawi’s political landscape, did not mince his words as he accused the DPP of pushing him out for daring to challenge their established order.

However, these allegations were promptly refuted by DPP’s spokesperson, Shadreck Namalomba, who maintained that Nankhumwa’s expulsion was unrelated to his intentions to run for office within the party.

Earlier in the day, Nankhumwa attended a church service at the invitation of Makata CCAP Church to welcome its new pastor.

It was during his address to the congregation that Nankhumwa’s supporters, a sign of their unwavering loyalty and solidarity, publicly tore their DPP regalia and set it ablaze.

The expulsion from the DPP has not dampened Nankhumwa’s ambitions as he confidently looks ahead.

Faced with adversity, he remains resolute in his pursuit of the presidency, determined to bring about positive change for the people of Malawi.

While the reasons behind his dismissal continue to be disputed, Nankhumwa’s unwavering resolve to contest the upcoming presidential election sends a clear message that he will stop at nothing to serve the nation.

As the political landscape in Malawi evolves, Nankhumwa’s tireless spirit and outspoken nature have already made him a prominent figure, capturing the attention of the masses.

With his gaze set firmly on the future, his supporters eagerly await the promised earth-shaking speech and the unveiling of his plans for a prosperous Malawi.

Despite his expulsion from the DPP, Kondwani Nankhumwa’s presidential dreams remain intact, refusing to be extinguished.

In the coming year, all eyes will be on him as he endeavors to shape the destiny of Malawi, potentially steering the nation towards a promising future.
