BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-UTM leader Dr Dalitso Kabambe has come clearly telling the nation that insightful leader is to serve not seeking riches, personal benefits.
Dr Kabambe emphasizes the need for Malawians to make a right decision on September 16, polls.
Writing on his Facebook after attending Blantyre Synod prayers on Thursday July 10 and prayed for, the former Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor says “I am not seeking power for money, or benefits”.
Dr Kabambe lauds, “I stood in the sacred hall of St. Micheal and All Angels in Blantyre in nodding to a priceless invitation by Blantyre Synod where prayers for peace, unity, and guidance ahead of the incoming elections were held.
“I did join fellow leaders, clergy and fellow citizens in lifting our Country to God’s love and care. A deeply humbling moment, a moment of reminder that leadership is ultimately about service, compassion, and stewardship of the hopes of millions of souls. Leadership is such a daunting task of caring fragile lives, that ALL may live to their days of their lives, not that lives be cut half-way owing to negligence of a leader”.
He added, “When I was invited to speak, I spoke for Malawians, I spoke for their daily pains, struggles; the avoidable agonies of life if us leaders were selfless. I gave them hope still, that all is not lost, but for a moment, that 1 minute in the booth with a ballot paper, can either mend or break Malawi for good.
“This election is a defining election, whether us, voters, love our country most than anything. Whether us voters love good life than anything. Whether us voters wish the best for ourselves and children than anything”.
The UTM leader adds, “If yes, then this is a chance to break away from the mistakes of our dark past, embrace the light in front of you. That light is geared to build a nation where hunger and poverty no longer rob our children their dreams, and, our dreams, and where opportunities reach even though far from us leaders, those we don’t know, neither share a tribe, church, or district of origin”.
Dr Kabambe assures, “I am not seeking power for money, or benefits. For so long we have trusted people with power yet they have nothing to offer in return except enriching themselves, their children, their in-laws, their friends, and members of their tribes, I am here to deliver a 3rd Revolution, total change.
“Just as I performed and worked miracles at Reserve Bank of Malawi, so will I do in that highest office of the land once you vote for me, which I am sure you will. Kwacha will become stable, we shall lower inflation to at least 3%, we shall lower the lending rates, equally make forex available as I did at the Reverse Bank”.
He assures, “But more than this, my main pillars will be to give each district K100 billion minimum for development, I will further give K500 billion for Agriculture, another K500 billion for Mining, another K500 billion for tourism and another K500 billion for Manufacturing.
“These initiatives shall create jobs, businesses, opportunities for millions of Malawians. Job scarcity shall be history, lack of businesses shall be history, all this in the hands of indigenous Malawians. Any progressive country has 80% of its economy held by citizens, we will empower Malawians in all angles and senses”.
Dr Kabambe pledges, “Your lives will be much more better, the districts you ran away from, shall be paradise all of us shall be flocking to, our children shall come back from Israel, South Africa, UK, USA, China to work for mother Malawi. Malawi shall be a land of opportunities and success.
“It is possible, just as the late Dr. Bingu said, “always dream in colour,” we are here to deliver a new but progressive Malawi. May the Good Lord bless you ALL. Thank you Blantyre Synod”.
As of July 10, there are 16 Presidential Aspirant seeking for power on September 16.
