LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s standard eight learners across the country have today, September 30, 2020 started sitting for this year’s Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education examinations.
Reports show that exams are in progress amid strict measure on Covid-19 spike.
Minister of Education Agnes Nyalonje visited schools in Nkhatabay and Mzuzu to monitor how the exams have commenced, and if COVID 19 preventive measures are being followed.
She first visited Luwazi primary school in Nkhata Bay.
95 learners from Luwazi and Mwambazi are currently sitting for their PSLCE this year at the examination centre.
Malawi Examination Board (Maneb) is yet to disclose total number of pupils seating for this year’s exams as most girls are reportedly got pregnancies, married over Covid-19.
