MZUZU-(MaraviPost)-The country’ Second Vice President Enock Kanzingeni-Chihana on Thursday, March 19, 2026 donated rice to moslems in Nkhatabay and Mzimba districts as the holy month of Ramadan comes to an end.
Speaking on behalf of the Second Vice President at Ekwendeni Mosque, Dave Gadama, Press Officer in the Office of the Second Vice President said Chihana decided to reach out to the moslems during this period of fasting to help those who may not have enough for breaking their fast.
He asked the Muslims to include the country and its leadership in their prayers and assured them that they are not alone in the fast, but that the Second Vice President has been fasting with them too.
In his remarks, Chairman of the committee for Ekwendeni Mosque Sheikh Abdulqadir Jackson thanked the Second Vice President for the gesture and asked God to grant him a long and healthy life.
