Synagogue Building Collapse: Group Supporting TB Joshua Calls for a thorough Investigation

2 Min Read

The Yoruba Youth Liberation Movement (YYLM), has called for a thorough investigation into the cause of the collapsed building of the Synagogue Church of All Nation (SCOAN).

Mr Michael Oluwafisayo, the President, YYLM made the call in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Abuja.

Oluwafisayo said that all hands must be on deck to investigate the cause of the collapse building, adding this would correct the perception of the public against SCOAN.

He alleged that some people were bent on giving the church a bad name because of what he described as their hatred for the founder of the church.

He said that the movement was also sad about the unfortunate incident that occurred on September 12, 2014.

He added however that the church had contributed in lifting the image of the country in no small measure.

Oluwafisayo said that the Nigerian youths had benefited from the teaching and healing of SCOAN founder, adding they had equally been a major beneficiary of his scholarship and philanthropic gestures.

He commiserated with the family of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident, describing it as the most trying moment in SCOAN family.

He urged Nigerians to always celebrate those who were passionate about taking the country out of the doldrums, which he said the founder of SCOAN represented.

NAN recalls that scores of worshipers who came from both within and outside Nigeria to worship at SCOAN who lodged at the church hotel lost their lives to the collapsed building.

Olwafisayo also called on Nigerian youths to shun violence during and after the elections.

“Violence in whatever means will not do the nation good,” he said. (NAN)
