LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-In a powerful New Year’s message, Second Vice President Enock Kanzingeni Chihana has called on Malawians to spread hope, kindness, and love throughout 2026.

Chihana’s appeal came as he joined thousands of Christians at the AHL Auditorium in Lilongwe to celebrate The Crossover, a night of worship and reflection themed “Night of Victory”.

The event, led by the founder of ECG—The Jesus Nation Church, “Major 1”, drew worshippers from over 70 countries, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity and joy. Chihana was accompanied by his wife, Tadala Hannah Chihana, and was joined by former Secretary to the Office of the President and Cabinet, Colleen Zamba, among other dignitaries.

In his Facebook post, Chihana extended his blessings to President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, First Lady Gertrude Mutharika, and the nation at large, emphasizing the importance of collective positivity in the new year.

“Let us spread hope, kindness, and spirit in 2026,” Chihana urged, calling on Malawians to work together towards a brighter future.

The Vice President’s message was a fitting conclusion to a night of celebration and reflection, highlighting the power of faith and unity in shaping the nation’s destiny.

As Malawi embarks on this new chapter, Chihana’s words serve as a reminder of the importance of kindness, love, and collective responsibility in building a better tomorrow.
