Shields vs Crews-Dezurn II: A decade-long rivalry reignites

1 Min Read

MICHIGAN-(MaraviPost)-The upcoming rematch between Claressa Shields and Franchon Crews-Dezurn feels like it’s been a decade in the making, and in a, in a way, it has.

The two boxing stars made their professional debuts against one another in 2016, and now, 10 years later, they return to the ring with a heavyweight title on the line.

It’s clear that Crews-Dezurn has something to prove, having lost her first fight against Shields by unanimous decision and moving up in weight class to heavyweight to take this fight.

Shields, meanwhile, is predicting a knockout, stating she’s 100% ready and plans on putting Franchon on her back and leaving with the KO.

The stakes are high, with Shields looking to solidify her position as a top contender, while Crews-Dezurn aims to claim the undisputed female heavyweight world title.

This is bound to be a high-end bout featuring world-class talent on both sides.

The fight will take place on Sunday, February 22, at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, and will be streamed live on DAZN and DAZN Ultimate.

The main event is scheduled to start at approximately 10:30 p.m. ET.
