LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-As Spirits of death in the TNM Super League continue engulfing the Kasungu based outfit TN Stars FC, once again suffered a 0-3 nil defeat to Civil Service United at Champion Stadium in Dowa on Wednesday, October 5, 2022.

As many anticipated the stars to shine and start winning games to revive their survival in the league against Civil Service United to the contrary Stars failed to bright Champion Stadium as they slowly sniffing Chipiku Premier division league next season.
Their former player Arnold Masamba started stabbing them in 22nd minute of the first half after connecting a well taken cross from defender Damiano Kunje.
Before the end of the first half at 45th minute, Binwell Katinji added salt on TN Stars rotten wounds through a header from Patrick Phiri’s cross from the right wing.
Soon after the goal,the whistle was blown for a recess. Second half both teams started on high note as the visitors searched for equalizing goals while the home team made sure to contain them and maintain their lead.
Kondwani Toots Mwalweni TN Stars FC, head coach, made several changes to bring life.
At 50th minute Alick Jana and Fred Banda replaced Chisomo Sambani and Philip Banda while Oscar Kaunda, Assistant coach for Civil Service United, brought in Festus Chikwezga and Nelson Kangunje for Arnold Masamba and Henry Msowoya at 57th minute.
Before introducing Chikaiko Batison and Bashir Maunde for Binwell Katinji and Moses Banda at 84th minute, former Nyasa Big Bullets FC player Nelson Kangunje scored the third for the servants at 76th minute from Innocent Tanganyika’s cross who was put through by Katinji.
The game produced two yellow cards which went to Chisomo Sambani for TN Stars FC for fouling Innocent Tanganyika, Alick Jana was also booked for a deliberate foul on Binwell Katinji.
In post match interviews Civil Service United FC team Manager Gabriel Chirwa acknowledged his charges did not play well despite the victory over struggling TN Stars FC.
“We played well against Bullets in Blantyre, but today we didn’t play according to our plan but thanks to the boys for securing three vital points.The season has been on and off for Civo hence the victory will help us to finish at least within top eight”, Chirwa said.
His counterpart Assistant Coach for TN Stars FC Honest Nkhwazi acknowledged the defeat against Civil Service United which he said they did not expect as a team.
” It was a good game which we started very well but failed to get goals hence the defeat. We are not giving up,we work hard and make sure to win some games so that we survive “, said Nkhwazi.
TN Stars FC is welcoming MAFCO FC at home Kasungu Stadium weekend.They have played 23 games and managed to collect 12 poinys sitting on position 15.
TN Stars FC are possible relegation candidates alongside Rumphi United FC who have 10 points from 25 games played so far and on Friday they meet highly spirited Blue Eagles FC.
The other team which are battling with relegation are Sable Farming who sits on position 14 with 18 points from 23 games.
