LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi’s youth are celebrating the appointment of Alfred Gangata as Minister of Sports, Youth and Culture, hailing it as a victory for young people in the country.
At just 37, Gangata is one of the youngest ministers in Malawi’s history, and his appointment has sparked hope among the youth that their voices will be heard and their concerns addressed.
Gangata’s journey to the top has been nothing short of inspiring. From humble beginnings, he has built a business empire and become a prominent figure in Malawian politics.
His appointment is seen as a testament to his hard work, dedication, and passion for youth empowerment.
As Minister, Gangata has pledged to bring business-minded leadership to the sports ministry, focusing on youth development and sports promotion. “I will run this ministry like a business that delivers profit, not losses,” he said in a previous statement.
The youth are looking up to Gangata to deliver on his promises, and he has a tough task ahead of him.
But with his track record of success and his commitment to serving the people, there’s hope that he’ll make a real difference in the lives of Malawian youth.
Some are already praising his appointment, saying it’s a sign that President Mutharika is committed to empowering young people.
“This is a victory for the youth of Malawi,” said one youth leader. “We expect Gangata to use his position to promote sports and improve the daily lives of young people in this country.
